The most wonderful destinations in Myanmar in October

As from October is the best suitable time for tourists to discover the famous places in Myanmar like ancient city Bagan or Inle lake because at that time, rains will give a way for nice weather

Beside India and Nepal, Myanmar is known as the interesting destination, especially from October to February thanks to the temperate climate and notably Southeast Buddhism city.

The life in Myanmar has not been much affected by the modern so tourists can experience the adventuresome feature as well as feeling like the time is passing slower

#1. Bagan ancient city

Bagan has nearly 4.000 acient pagodas but currently, there are about 3.000 ones. When visiting this place, you will mainly travel by carriages or bikes. However, the climate in Bagan is quite hot with the red clay roads so maybe you cannot put up with riding a bike. Because Bagan area is the place for pagodas and temples, the female tourists should pay more attention to their clothes, meaning that they are not allowed to wear 2-strip shirts, short dress…. Even you are not allowed to wear shoes or socks inside the pagodas and temples

Traveling to Bagan, you can eat comfortably with the pretty cheap price. You can try the fish with lime sauce or curry that is as same as Vietnamese flavor. You also can try eating vegetarian foods or dishes for local people in buffet restaurant and “mixture” dish similar to milk tea in Vietnam but its flavor has strange black beans flavor

#2. Golden Rock

It is also called “Tang da vang” in Vietnamese, Golden Rock is located on a small town, Kyaikhtiyo, Mon State and far from Yangon city about 160km

Golden Rock is a big granite rock with 15 meters in height and on the top is a 5-meter tower

The holy rock is scarped on other rock but very firm through years. Many people strongly said that thanks to a hair-made “sarira” (seven colors head shrine) of Buddha, the rock can exist in 2000 years

If having a luxury Myanmar trip, you should spend one night staying there to listen to the tinkle of wind bell and chanting sound in murmurs to make your soul feel restful and the extremely close link between the present and the past.

Road to Golden Rock is quite rough but more and more tourists are eager to come there

#3. Inle lake

This is Myanmar’s second largest freshwater lake. It is especially romantic for you to enjoy. Its scene is picturesque. The best way to observe and enjoy Inle lake completely is taking a boat on the lake and watching the local men rowing the boat by their feet. The fishermen is like the talented artists when both catching fish and controlling the boat by feet very cleverly

The local people live mainly by catching fish, planting trees and doing traditional jobs as weaving fabrics and wrapping the cigarettes…
